My father Professor Jogindra Lal Gupta, a fellow of the college of 1956 was a student of the eminent teacher surgeon physician politician Dr B C Roy from 1948-1954 when Dr Roy was also the Chief Minister of Bengal.

My father was then the recipient of the same award in 1978. History repeated it for me 39 years later in 2017. Two fellows of the college.....Two generations Father and Son....Awarded same award 39 years apart.....Hence the photograph of myself with my father with our respective medals
